This past week has been filled with delicious food. We all know Thanksgiving played a big part in that but so does a fridge full of food just begging to be eaten. I also took photos of the food I ate during yoga teacher training. I thought it might be interesting for you to see what types of foods fuel me for a long weekend of yoga.
I LOVE waffles. In particular I love homemade pumpkin waffles. It was the perfect way to start my day and kept me full through a hot and challenging yoga class. I had decaf coffee and orange juice with it. So good!
By the time our lunch break rolls around at teacher training I am starved and can’t wait to eat. I usually eat a little more than I normally would and skip an afternoon snack. We practice again around 3ish so a snack just doesn’t fit in. This week I had butternut squash soup, a small turkey sandwich with homemade cranberry sauce, cheese and crackers and a clementine. So good!
We have had a lot of soups lately, in particular orange-colored soups. We had roasted butternut squash soup last week and this week I made a curried sweet potato soup. It was delicious but I’m learning there is a limit to the amount of soup you can eat. 5 days is a bit too much if you ask me!
Cranberry Brie Wontons are also delicious!
Homemade mini apple pies…there is really not much more to say than that. They definitely were not the easiest thing to make but were certainly worth it!
