I love a good What I Ate Wednesday post. It’s fun to see what I eat each week and I have to say, Michael and I eat pretty well. I’ve been really happy with our eating habits lately. Cutting back on the sugar has definitely been making me feel better. We’ve only been splurging on dessert once a week, usually on the weekends. I look forward to the dessert on the weekends but definitely don’t miss it during the week. We’ve also been loving fresh oranges and lots of green veggies. We’ve also started taking some more vitamins to help keep us healthy.
Breakfast.
Lately my showers and the snow have been throwing off my morning routine. I’ve spending an extra few minutes in the hot shower on these cold mornings and it’s cutting into my breakfast time. Couple that with the snow we’ve been getting and having to brush off my car, breakfast time is basically out the window. I’ve been reaching for quick, easy and warm foods. Oatmeal with peanut butter and a little bit of skim milk has been my go to and my cup of coffee of course.
The other part of my morning routine is my vitamins. I take vitamins every morning for my health and wellness.
I take a regular multi-vitamin for my everyday health. I take Biotin for my hair, skin and nail health. It definitely helps to thicken my fine hair and it’s great for my nails since it keeps them thick and strong. I recently added Zinc since it’s supposed to help improve immune health. I’ve had enough of being sick this winter, so I’m hoping this will help!
Lunch.
Lunch was leftover pizza. It’s warm and comforting in the midst of a busy day! My morning snack was strawberries and blackberries. In the afternoon I had yogurt with granola, oranges and a Chewy Granola bar.
I’ve been loving fresh oranges and fruit, it’s been reminding me of warm summer days which is just what I need this cold winter!
Dinner.
I love that you can pretty much turn anything into a rice bowl and it’s a complete meal. These are also perfect for the week when days are busy and you don’t have time to make a huge meal. Into our bowls went roasted brussel sprouts, broccoli, chicken, and some cheese. A bowl of warm goodness!
Lately there is nothing better than a warm cup of tea after dinner!

yum!!! I love a bowl of any veggie, chicken, shrimp, egg, whatever I have combo, it’s so yummy and comforting! And of course, I am alll over the oatmeal. I do take vitamins but of the ADULT gummy variety
is that so wrong? I look forward to them daily!
I love the idea of a rice bowl for dinner, thinking we may have this tonight! Thanks for the idea
