What I Ate Wednesday! December 7th 2011!

Happy Wednesday! I know so many of you love the What I Ate Wednesday Party! I certainly do! This week eats are nothing too special.  I’ve really been trying to focus on eating healthy and cutting back on sweets before Christmas comes.  So let’s take a look…

Breakfast.

I’ve really been loving eating breakfast at home! I love having some “me” time before my day starts which is usually pretty busy.  This week I am still loving the Cranberry English muffins! I started topping them with some honey apple butter…yum! I also had a small bowl of Raisin Bran Crunch with Almond Milk.  That combination is so good, I really can’t get enough of it! A glass of orange juice on the side.  I still haven’t had coffee in weeks and am loving it! I’m all about herbal tea these days.

Morning Snack.

Since I eat breakfast at home now it’s a  little earlier than normal and I get hungry around mid morning.  I’ve been eating a banana and munching on blackberries or blueberries.  So good!

Lunch.

I’ve been sticking to my usual sandwich lately.  I really like them and they are quick and easy to pack for work.  This week I have turkey on oatmeal bread with American cheese, hummus, cucumbers and lettuce! Yum! On the side I packed some blue corn tortillas!

Afternoon Snack.

I always pack a snack but some days I’m not hungry and don’t eat it.  Most days I just eat the clementine.  I love clementines! I’m so happy they are in season now.  The TLC granola bars with chocolate, coconut and nuts are really good when I’m in the mood for a little afternoon sweetness!

Dinner.

With the cool weather coming I’m loving comfort foods.  One of my favorites is Chicken Pot Pie! Last year I bought a Groupon for Harrow’s Chicken Pot Pies.   I had never had Harrow’s but Mike assured me they are delicious and honestly everyone in the Boston area is crazy about the pies.  The Groupon bought quite a few pies and I still had some frozen.  Friday night I had the night to myself so it seemed like the perfect dinner.  On the side I had a salad with organic caeser dressing.  And of course a glass of wine!

That’s it for me this week!  I can’t wait to see what you all are eating!

What is your favorite brown bag sandwich? Do you eat mid- morning or mid-afternoon snacks?  What do you reach for?  What is your favorite comfort food?  Have you ever had Harrow’s?
