November! New facts and goals!

It’s November 3rd! I had originally planned to post this on the 1st but then it snowed and I got distracted by the snow and sharing winter running tips!  And yesterday was the What I Ate Wednesday party and I just couldn’t miss it! So here we are!  I thought rather than just sharing 5 facts about myself this month I’d switch it up a bit and do favorites instead.  You still get to learn a bit about me just in a different way! And of course, I’ll share my goals for this month!

Do we have anything in common?  Do we share any favorites? 

I’ll be honest this months goals are going to look very familiar to last months goals.  This is because I have yet to accomplish a few of those goals and want to keep at them! There are a few new and exciting goals this month as well!

More Yoga!  I’m keeping this a goal for this month because I really want to keep at my practice.  I’ve been getting about 4 days a week the last couple weeks and I feel great! I feel my strength coming back and see my muscles toning.  Michael has also tried yoga and wants to start practicing too! I think this is great for us to do so I really want to keep with it! I also want to blog more about yoga too, I think it’s lacking here on LiveRunLoveYoga and I have been working on some really good posts that are yoga related!

More Yoga!

Finish my book!  Yes, I am still reading Bethenny Frankel’s A Place of Yes.  I got really into it for a while and got pretty far into it but I haven’t finished it yet. I hope to finish it soon! I keep taking my Kindle to bed with me but always fall asleep a few words in!  I also want to get reading some other books I have heard about so this is a must!

Try cooking one new recipe a week! I did well with this last month and learned a lot.  I think my cooking skills are really improving and I love that I feel more confident in the kitchen.  I really want to stick with this and try making a stew or my mom’s spaghetti sauce this month!

Study for Personal Trainer Certification! I purchased the materials and exam for the NASM Certified Personal Training program this weekend.  I’m really looking forward to this change and what the future holds for me.  Studying is a priority, I hope to take the exam at the end of February.  This gives me four whole months to learn the material, so this goal is a big priority!

Balance life and working out! I have lots going on lately. Blogging, working out and yoga, studying for my personal trainer certification, my full-time job, my amazing relationship with Michael, my family and my friends.  With my commute I only end up with about 4 hours a night to do all of those things.  I really want to focus on doing everything but doing it well.  I think it’s important for me to realize that it’s ok to miss the gym in order to study, blog or whatever else may need to be done.  Life is a balancing act and I want to make sure I keep things balanced!

What are your goals for the month?  Do you have trouble juggling all of the things you enjoy? Do you feel guilty missing a workout for other things?

  1. Nice goals! I share the goal of balancing life and working out – sometimes I find myself tempted to put life aside to work out and I don’t think that’s the best. Also I love Shawshank!

  2. My goals for this month – get in 75 miles running and trying to fit in 5 yoga classes. Yoga is a shame because I was going every day in September (for a challenge) and 3-4 times a week in October. I haven’t been since Monday & already my spine is yelling at me. Oh, yoga, how I miss thee. Book choices are a pile of awesome sauce!

    I have been the same with reading books, i am getting behind cause i keep falling asleep!

    so cool you are getting certified, i know you have talked about that being your goal and do yoga and I think that is awesome!
